i woke up this morning to find in my inbox, "etsy's finds" email, which i look forward to every day...luckily, they chose one of the items from my shop to be featured today...the finds are all about a valentine's day 'table for two.' nice way to start the morning! thanks etsy!!

update

i got this cuckoo clock on etsy (the shop is no longer active, unfortunately)...and just got around to fixing it up a bit...it didn't come with the pinecone weights, which i found on ebay...that and some tung oil and it's like new...i love it!

i'm just popping in to announce that i'll be donating 10% of my sales each month to different charities...all year long...it's my 2009 resolution and i'm going to stick with it. i think in these tough economic times it's more important than ever to give back what you can. january's charity was raising malawi...
for february i've picked 46664, an organization started by nelson mandela in response to the global HIV/AIDS epidemic, which is a horrific problem particularly in africa. many people's lives have been touched by this epidemic, mine included...i've lost friends and family to this virus.
